🎉 Founded in 1981, Testimony School first opened its doors as a Nursery/Play School, catering to children aged 3-5. We started with a vibrant play class, where the joy of discovery was paramount. Our foundational curriculum quickly expanded to include Basic English, Swahili, and Mathematics, introducing children to counting from 1-100 and basic addition/subtraction. Early literacy was a key focus, with students progressing to confidently read four-to-five-letter words, laying a strong groundwork for their academic future.
Our journey is one of continuous growth, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to educational excellence and character formation.
🌱 The success and demand for quality education led to significant expansion. In 1985, we proudly launched Testimony Primary School, initially offering Classes 1-3. By 1987, we had grown to include Classes 4-8, providing a complete primary education pathway. Our Class 8 students are meticulously prepared for and sit the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), a testament to our rigorous academic standards. To support our growing student body, we established boarding facilities for 112 students, equally accommodating 56 boys and 56 girls. We admit 6-year-olds into Class 1, maintaining optimal class sizes of 30-36 pupils to ensure personalized attention. From Class 4 onwards, students benefit from specialized instruction delivered by subject-specific teachers, deepening their understanding and engagement.
🚀 Testimony School has consistently evolved to meet the demands of modern education. Our Junior Secondary Section, a significant milestone, opened in 2023 with Grade 7 and now proudly includes Grades 7-9 under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). This forward-thinking approach prepares students with essential 21st-century skills. Our commitment to secondary education began even earlier, with Testimony Secondary School starting with Forms 1-2 in 1994, expanding to Form 3 in 1995, and Form 4 in 1996. Due to increasing demand and our reputation for excellence, a second stream was introduced in 2014. Our Form 4 students undertake the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), a crucial step that paves their way to university and higher education.
🎉 We operate with full compliance and accreditation under Kenya’s revised Competency-Based Education (CBE, formerly CBC) system and the traditional 8–4–4 framework. We are officially Ministry-certified for Junior Secondary operation, ensuring that our programs meet national educational standards. Our distinguished record in national examinations—both KCPE and KCSE—underscores our commitment to learning that leads to tangible achievement and prepares students for real-world success.
🏫 Our commitment to providing a conducive learning environment is reflected in our continuously expanding facilities. In 2012, we significantly enhanced our campus with the addition of four new classrooms, a modern library, expanded boarding capacity for 60 more students, and a state-of-the-art swimming pool. Our expansive campus spans 3 acres, with an additional 3 acres dedicated to recreation, providing ample space for sports and outdoor activities. Key features of our campus include a versatile 400-seat Hall, utilized for examinations, school concerts, and church services; two tuition blocks housing 16 spacious classrooms; well-equipped science and home science laboratories; a dedicated computer lab; an academic center for focused study; and both adult and babies swimming pools, catering to all age groups.
